I’ve spent my career helping people, including beef producers, learn, grow, and reach their goals — first as a teacher, where I built hands-on learning experiences from scratch, and later as a strategic planning consultant in the IT world, focusing on enhancing cattle operations. In both roles, my work centered on the same core belief: when you take time to truly understand people — how they think, work, and what they value — you can provide effective business coaching that helps them accomplish remarkable things.
That approach has carried over into the part of my life that has mattered most: raising cattle.
I’ve worked with cattle for more than 15 years, and I’ve spent 13 of those years building my own cattle operations from the ground up. I know the long days, the hard decisions, the financial pressure, the wins that keep you going, and the heartbreaks that make you stronger.
And I know how powerful it is to have a mentor who genuinely understands this industry — because not every business coach does. But I do.
I love raising cattle. I love watching my baldy cows graze cornstalks in the fall, seeing the herd run into fresh pasture, or watching a newborn calf take its first breath. I understand why we choose this life down to my core.
